Join Feeding Kids Cleveland County as we kick off our 2026-27 Giving Campaign!

Gather for Good is an evening hosted by Feeding Kids Cleveland County and the Blue Ridge Birdies where community, connection, and compassion come together to make a difference for children in Cleveland County.

Whether you're an experienced mahjong player, curious to learn more, or simply looking for a memorable night out, Gather for Good offers something for everyone. Enjoy mahjong open play, a delicious heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts, and great company—all while supporting the mission of Feeding Kids Cleveland County.

Every ticket purchased helps provide food and books to local children experiencing food insecurity. Bring your friends, reserve a table with your coworkers, or come meet new people for an evening filled with fun, purpose, and giving back.

2 Ways to Join Us

1. Table Ticket — $500 Reserve a full mahjong table for your group and enjoy an evening of fun and philanthropy together. If you're planning to purchase a Table Ticket, go ahead and gather your party of four.

2. Open Play Ticket — $100 Your ticket includes access to mahjong open play, delicious food and beverages, and the opportunity to connect with players of all skill levels in a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

Join us as we gather for good—and help ensure every child in our community has the nourishment they need to thrive.

When you arrive, come through the gate, turn left, go through the breezeway, after the greenhouse, turn right, continue around to the back of the building. Feeding Kids is on the right. Building #3. Wear comfy clothes and shoes and something warm in the winter months. (building is heated but cool at first).

For 10 years, Feeding Kids Cleveland County has been serving children and families in our community, and we want to celebrate this incredible milestone with you!

• Bring your family and friends

• Bring 10 nonperishable food items to help us continue feeding local kids

• Enjoy fellowship, fun, and a time of gratitude for all that has been accomplished together

The sign up for our 2026 Spring Break deliveries is LIVE! As of this semester, we are now serving ALL schools in Cleveland County Schools! That means more families to serve!

We are delivering to approximately 300 families on Saturday, March 28 between the hours of 8:30am and 1:00pm. We will need your help! Please sign up to deliver using the link button below.

Also, mark your calendars for our three summer break deliveries. We have a harder time finding volunteers in the summer, understandably. So, be sure to add these dates to your plans and join us if you are in town.

• Summer 1 Delivery - May 30, 2026

• Summer 2 Delivery - June 27, 2026

• Summer 3 Delivery - July 25, 2026

Everyone in Cleveland County is invited to join us for this special time of unity and fellowship! These Community Table meals are a county-wide effort to bring neighbors together across all areas of our community to share a meal and connect.

Each meal will be served at 4pm on Saturday, November 22, at six locations throughout Cleveland County—each one hosted in an area where the need is greatest.

We hope you’ll come, bring your family and friends, and enjoy good food and great company with your neighbors.

This year’s meal locations include:

1. Jefferson Park in Shelby

2. Bobby Bell Pavilion in Uptown Shelby

3. Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kings Mountain

4. Holly Oak Park in Shelby

5. Burns High School in Lawndale

6. Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Waco/Cherryville
